Stopping Ringless Voicemail
If you use RoboGuard® in your network, RoboGuard® can send a custom SIP Code to block double calls. If RoboGuard® detects 2 calls at once or within 5 seconds of each other with the same ANI & DNIS RoboGuard® will block the second call, this will stop ringless voicemail calls from terminating.

Reducing Port Usage on your switch
RoboGuard® has helped some carriers save over 10,000 ports being utilized on their network without losing revenue or a drop in total minutes. RoboGuard® does this by blocking calls on your network that it has already received and rejected in the last 5 seconds. Most Soft-Switches will create a “Session” while a call is in the LCR servers trying to terminate the call to a carrier(s); this can take up to 10 seconds+. RoboGuard® will block the second call within milliseconds, so it does not create another session. It is very common to receive the same Call twice (sometimes more) because the end-user is using the same carriers that have your company in their routing.
